Schumacher expects difficult Monza

Michael Schumacher is under no illusions as the F1 circus heads to Monza, admitting that his Mercedes team will struggle at the Italian circuit.

The German, who finished seventh in Spa last week believes that the nature of the track at Monza won't help him or his team-mate, Nico Rosberg.

"Monza [will] be a real challenge for our team.  We have seen already several times this year that circuits with characteristics like those of Monza do not really play in our hands," said the seven-time World Champion.

The former-Ferrari and Benetton driver continued to say, "On a personal level, I am very much looking forward to returning to Monza where I have been supported so warmly over so many years."

Schumacher currently sits 10th in the drivers championship, just one point behind his fellow-countryman, Adrian Sutil, and insists that he will be pushing as hard as possible to gain a points-paying position come Sunday's race.
