Rosberg: We've taken a step back in Hungary

Friday 30th July 2010, 17:44

Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg looked a little downbeat after Friday's practice sessions in Budapest after the Germans finished in 10th and 13th respectively.

Schumacher, who has struggled to match his team-mates pace for much of the season, did finish ahead in second practice by almost four tenths, but admitted that his car doesn't look good around the twisty Hungarian circuit.

"Today we saw two sessions where neither the long runs nor the single laps were looking particularly good," said the 41-year-old.

"We are not up to the speed that we normally are on Fridays and unfortunately our car does not look very good here at the moment."

Meanwhile, Rosberg believes the new updates which the team have bought to the circuit haven't had the desired effect, in fact they've done the opposite of what they should.

"It was an interesting day," said Rosberg, "and even though we have taken a small step back with our upgrades, the car seems to work as it should."
