I have been watching F1 for as long as I can remember.  I'm an avid McLaren fan with a real passion for their technical brilliance and racing ethos.

I think it is good that there are 3 new teams on the grid.  Yes they are currently 5-7 seconds a lap off the pace but they are brand new teams.  Both Lotus and Virgin have very good financial backing behind them.  Year one for them should be about collecting track data and creating a decent infrastructure to build upon for a more successful second year.  HRT's future is probably not so good as they have no development program in place at all yet.

Red Bull didn't start the sport as title contenders, it was a gradual progression over many years.  Expect Lotus and Virgin to be within 4 seconds of the front runners come the end of the season with HRT strongly lagging behind.  Year 2, expect Lotus and Virgin to be mid to bottom of the "midfield pack".  And HRT year 2? *Gulp*
